There's little doubt that Obama will steal the headlines and deservedly so but it should also be worth mentioning that John McCaindeserves commendation for showing the class and humility we all were fond of in the past but that he lost somewhere along the line in his concession speech last evening and his conduct in the last couple weeks in contrast to the more loathsome moments of his campaign. Obama without question won this race more than McCain lost it but one of the biggest subplots of the night should definitely be George W. Bush having defeated John McCain twice now since 2000. Not that picking Sarah Palin wasn't a healthy contributing factor to the loss coupled with any number of his missteps, gaffes and Rick Davis' campaign malpractice but more than any of these factors individually George W. Bush has been absolutely toxic to the political health of John McCain and that much is a damn shame.
Anyway, Obama has made it known he'd be interested in having McCain in his cabinet of advisers because he wanted a tribune of dissenting thought and opinion but something tells me that if/when it comes to him offering John McCain the slot he will regrettably decline. I can understand even I don't agree. In fact the scene would probably play out similar to this classic scene from 'The Wire'. You can just imagine Cutty as John McCain, Barack Obama as Avon and Slim Charles as Joe Bidenas you watch this...
Both funny, although McCain was funnier, but a rare light moment in the campaign that all should see. if you've got the time, watch. I wouldn't lead you astray.
Racism, Xenophobia and Prejudice are all just words for John McCain that don't add up to a whole lot other than a vote. John McCain has no honor. he doesn't rail against the elements of intolerance that steam a percentage of his campaign. It's sick. So I came across these videos of his and Palins supporters in Strongsville, Oh (a place I didn't even know existed) and the comments are going to be upsetting to a lot of people but you need to see first-hand the kind of monsters McCain's campaign created and attracts: Strongsville, OH

John Edwards turned out to be not quite the man I thought he was but at least he had the moral guidance to say this during the Democratic Dogfight:
"If you won't vote for Obama simply because he is black, or you won't vote for Clinton simply because she is a woman, then I don't want your vote."
McCain is unwilling to even say that much publicly because the truth is, they all count the same in the end in his mind. It's sad.
Tuesday's Top Ten: Quirky Stories/Traits About John McCain That The Media Refuses To Cover
Title is self explanatory in so the little sayings or tendencies John Sidney McCain has on a day to day basis that either irk, make you laugh or make you wonder:
10.) 'Whisper Flow' - Maybe it's just me but do you ever notice that when John McCain thinks he's making a clever point or making a point of significance he always slips into the a whisper? It's really quite remarkable because he does it so much it's become a bit of a trademark. He goes to the whisper like it's his fucking job. Sometimes if you close your eyes you might be able to fool yourself that John McCain is actually Young Chris from the Rocafella duo the Young Gunz. in fact, I'm waiting on the day some clever internet personality puts a McCain townhall speech over the "Can't Stop, Won't Stop" instrumental. I'm not voting for the nigga but I might be coaxed into doing it myself and burning it on a cd and riding through a conservative white suburban township to see if they mind Hip-Hop as much if MC Cain is spitting ether about Obama over the beat.
9.) 'Center Obama' - This is nitpciky but Johnny Mac is so lazy that he doesn't even pronounce Barack Obama by his entire title, he calls the man 'Center Obama'. It's not malicious or anything and it's a far cry from the contemptuous "that one" or the more odious "Barack Hussein Obama" but it's just an interesting side plot of the campaign that happens so frequently I'm considering making it a drinking game during the third and final debate next Thursday.
8.) 'My Friends' - This is the new 'the' to him and it's not even academically true. Who are these friends McCain is referring to? Somebody I'm not familiar with certainly because looking at the polls and internal numbers and favorability numbers he doesn't have many friends. If his campaign were on Myspace Tom wouldn't accept his friendship. It's like him giving the crowd a flower before he shitbags them with follow up insults and put-downs about his opponent. He's down by 11% in the latest daily Gallup Poll. His friends don't like his ass. He's like that one friend everybody has that calls them every other week and keep calling and getting the voicemail and seems to write off your ignoring them as something other than that. He's the only person in the relationship between you two that thinks you two are friends. LOL.
7.) 'Change Is Coming' is complete shit coming from the mouth of a man who can't offer it. In fact, the only way that slogan can be understood by the American people to mean anything is if it's some code to his handlers that he needs a new diaper.
6.)John McCain's Robot Dance - John McCain does the robot dance with his arms every time he speaks publicly and is trying to articulate his point to the masses. Not to be mean, but it's ostensibly true that John McCain breakdances to silence on the stage everytime he utters a paragraph. Not a critique, in fact I think it's gully.
I'm just saying.
5.) 'Maverick' - John McCain is not a Maverick. He is the same conservative turd the rest of his party is. He really is. Same ideology, same stances on health care, civil rights, a women's choice, all of it. So unless Marc Cuban signs this nigga to a contract, he is not a Maverick.
4.)Blinking - John McCain blinks 482 times a minute. Either he has a nervous tick, he walks around with a cloud of dust in front of his face at all times like Pigpen from 'Peanuts' or he's lying every single moment of every day. John McCain blinks like terrorists are holding his family hostage with semi-automatic weapons who will make his living room look like the Denzel's last scene in 'Training Day' if he doesn't blink like there's no tomorrow.
3.) Thumbs Up - John McCain likes nothing more than to give a thumbs up to a crowd. The man conducts his hands like Hacksaw Jim Duggins. Somebody needs to send him out to the podium next week with a 2x4 and an American flag and plant an operative at every location he speaks at to start a 'USA' chant randomly. [It's not like the crowd won't join him in the USA chant. After all, this is the party that thinks if you wear a flag pin, seal a bumper sticker on your car and verbally exercise your love for your country that people will look the other way when your beliefs don't echo that patriotism.]
2.)John McCain literally looks like a 'Clear Gummi Bear'. I just can't vote for a man that can be bought at a concession stand. That's just not baller.

Because in the last couple weeks this is how the campaign has looked, the younger, stronger up and coming fighter is killing the older, past his prime, boxer that clearly isn't the same guy he was when he was before.
Time constraints on two candidates who are the leaders of our country's two biggest parties are capricious. They're talking about the issues of our time and potentially our children's and Tom Brokaw chides them every other answer for breaching time from question to question like this is a game show. [MC Search] This is not a game, people. [/MC Search] We ought never promote vagaries as a platform for politicians who make careers in their comfortability in them.

My comments as they occurred to me (not many but there really wasn't much meat on the bones tonight):
9:14 - LOL @ McCain insisting he suspended his campaign because of the Wall Street crisis like he gave a fuck. McCains such a martyr.
For Wall St. and it's sins, the McCain campaign suffered, died and was buried on the third day it rose again in the fulfilment of the scriptures and ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of father (George Bush)...
9:32 - It's really due to nothing McCain can help, and I've never made his age an issue, but aesthetically the contrast between him and Obama out from behind the podiums can't be a good look for him. Probably reminds voters he's a bit older. Not that I care, mind you just that to others it might.
9:50- McCain's pacing around the stage is really an eyesore. What, does he have to pee or something? Should we take a bathroom break or did John bring a Depends tonight. Perhaps he he's developing a rash. Perhaps a change in diaper is the change he seeks.
10:11- Obama went hard on offense in turning his fire toward Osama Bin Laden, the almost forgotten element in the room, you know the guy who attacked us on 9/11?
Look, Obama put on a hell of a show tonight and there's no reason to make a meal over a bag of Doritos here. Tonight did not serve McCain very well and I expected to be saying tonight how hard McCain went at Obama over his personal attatchments but instead McCain looked like a man more comfortable sitting at the head of a table in his house yelling at his grandkids and looking out the window periodically to make sure that the neighborhood's children weren't playing in his yard than sitting in the chair in front of the desk in the oval office. Obama didn't hit any home runs tonight but he's getting batters on base and he's advancing runners with every errant throw McCain makes or mistimed fielding error. Johnny, look up at the scoreboard, there aren't many more outs left.
He needs a win like Bengals need a win, only like the Bengals a clear path to that victory doesn't seem clear and is increasingly less likely as each week passes by.
Game isn't over , but people are leaving for the parking lot.
We all know the 2nd debate is tonight and everything so that's not really news. We all know I'll be doing the post-game wrap-up here as always right after it's concluded and the dust has settled. That's not really news. What is of value however is the following recent pics of John McCain's daughter hitting the campaign trail for a guy that while I may not vote for I have to respect the mans loins (pause).

I know it's Sunday and the debate is already dissipating from our memories like a fart in the wind but one final poll conducted by USA Today/Gallup finds Americans who responded think Obama won the debate.
A new USA TODAY/Gallup Poll shows 46% of people who watched Friday night's presidential debate say Democrat Barack Obama did a better job than Republican John McCain; 34% said McCain did better. debate
Obama scored even better -- 52%-35% -- when debate-watchers were asked which candidate offered the best proposals for change to solve the country's problems.
More than six in 10 people or 63% in the one-day poll, taken Saturday, said they watched the first faceoff in Oxford, Miss. For those 701 people, the margin of error was +/- 4 percentage points.
The poll suggested the debate was to some extent a wash for McCain: 21% of those who watched say it gave them a more favorable view of him, 21% say less favorable and 56% say it didn't change their opinion much.
Three in 10 said their opinion of Obama became more favorable after seeing the debate, compared to 14% who said less favorable and 54% who said it didn't make much difference.
More than one-third of viewers, or 37%, said they had less confidence in McCain to fix economic problems after seeing the debate; 23% said more. For Obama, the survey results were 34% more confidence, 26% less.
Neither candidate broke away on national security and foreign policy. About a third of viewers said they had more confidence in each man on that front after the debate, and slightly less in each case said they had less confidence.
Obama held a 5-percentage-point lead over McCain, 49%-45%, in the Gallup tracking poll taken Wednesday through Friday. Tomorrow's poll will be the first to include impact from the debate.
Thinking about the following characteristics and qualities, please say whether you think each one better described Barack Obama or John McCain during tonight's debate:

Forty percent of uncommitted voters who watched the debate tonight thought Barack Obama was the winner. Twenty-two percent thought John McCain won. Thirty-eight percent saw it as a draw.
Forty-six percent of uncommitted voters said their opinion of Obama got better tonight.
Sixty-eight percent of uncommitted voters think Obama would make the right decisions about the economy. Forty-one percent think McCain would.
Forty-nine percent of these voters think Obama would make the right decisions about Iraq. Fifty-five percent think McCain would.
