In love: Jessica Simpson and her American football player boyfriend Eric Johnson look relaxed and happy as they stroll through JFK airport yesterday
With a divorce and several failed relationships under her belt it's nice to see Jessica Simpson so happy.
The singer and fashion mogul admitted this week that she has fallen and fallen hard for her boyfriend of five months, NFL star Eric Johnson.
Simpson, 30, gushed over the hunky footballer saying: 'As far as Eric and I go we are just best friends. He is my dude and I love him.'
This announcement comes in the wake of Johnson's divorce with his ex-wife becoming final earlier this week.
The following day the 30-year-old actress couldn't stop smiling as she landed at JFK airport with Eric, 31, in tow.
Romance is clearly still very much in the air for the couple, who have been dating since May.
Despite the six hour flight from Los Angeles to New York, Simpson looked glowing in a large black velvet scarf, slim fitting jeans and leopardskin Christian Louboutin boots.
The singer has made no secret of her adoration of her new beau.
Last month she posted a picture of herself with Johnson on her Twitter page with the caption: 'I met a wonderful man. Damn I'm lucky!'

Simpson has just finished recording a new Christmas album, due for release in November this year.
And she has revealed she already has a fan - her sister Ashlee's 18-month-old son Bronx .
'My buds @petewentz and [Bronx] came to the studio to hear my Christmas album and Bronx kept saying "More!!!" I’m a hit with my nephew!' she tweeted.
The singer is set to record a duet with a U.S. soldier in Afghanistan, singing the only confirmed track on the album - I'll Be Home For Christmas.
Sealed with a grin: The happy couple leave the airport together
