Happy news: Ellen DeGeneres congratulated Pink after the pop star confirms her pregnancy on her TV show
Pop star Pink has confirmed she is expecting her first child during an interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
It comes just days after the singer was spotted showing signs of a baby bump as she frollicked in the sea in a bikini at a Los Angeles beach.
When Ellen asked Pink why she was glowing, the 31-year-old singer replied: 'I’m eating for two these days.'
Pink says she kept the news a secret for so long because she 'was just really nervous.'
She revealed: 'I have had a miscarriage before but if I was going to talk about it with anyone, it was going to be with you.'
In an interview set to air in the US tomorrow, Ellen patted the star's bump and gave her congratulations.
While Pink wants the sex of the baby to be a surprise, she said a doctor inadvertently hinted she may be expecting a girl.

Pink, real name Alecia Moore, split from professional motorcross racer Carey in February 2008 after two years of marriage.
The pair remained close throughout their split with Pink even saying that their future might involve 'beach babies and sunshine'.
The couple rekindled their relationship a year later.
Pink met Carey at the X Games in Philadelphia in 2001 and proposed to him in 2005 during one of his races by holding up a sign that read: 'Will you marry me?'
