'We're very, very close': Grace Woodward did little to deny a romance with Matt Cardle when she appeared on This Morning
Thousands of girls throughout the country were left heartbroken when it was claimed X Factor stylist Grace Woodward had started a relationship with Matt Cardle.
And, appearing on This Morning yesterday, former Britain's Next Top Model judge Grace did very little to deny the romance, admitting she and the show favourite Matt are 'very, very close'.
Asked about rumours of 'smooching' backstage, Grace told Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford: 'Well, you know, people can mistake intimacy of styling somebody on your knees and stuff like that, with something that’s not happening.
'We are very, very close...he's very, very polite and a lovely boy.'

But Grace did try to play down the reports, insisting she is close to all of the contestants on the ITV show.
She said: 'I know all the contestants' intimate measurements. But I’m going to take this chance to clear up a few rumours. Those glasses that Matt has been wearing have nothing to do with me, there you go.
'I don’t like people who wear fake glasses, being a proper almost blind person – you know, they’ve got to be real.'

Pushed by Eamonn on what happens between her and Matt when they are alone at night, Grace said: 'That doesn’t happen.'
It was claimed last month that Matt and Grace had decided to give things a go, and Grace is so fond of Matt that she has even given him a nickname... Matt Cuddles.
A production insider said: 'Matt is smitten. He tried to hide his feelings for a long time but he just feels so strongly about Grace. Anyone who met her would see why.

'She is stunning, not only on the outside but inside too. Matt and Grace have become very close and he finds it easy to relax around her. They constantly have their arms around each other.
