I too have the same issue of not getting any RN nor the checks are cashed. Its been a month now. Today I called USCIS and they told me to wait for another month since no one has touched the application yet.
I have applied EAD renewal to AZ lock box. It was delivered on Mar 29. I have not got any receipt so far. Also check is not cashed.
Now it is 30 days and I should be able to call USCIS.
I have two questions:
1. Mail was sent with delivery confirmation, which confirms delivery on Mar 29. What if the package is lost there? Could I applying again? How USCIS treats two applications?
2. I have not received any receipt, except I have delivery slip from Post Office. In counting 90 days, is it taken based on receipt or based on Post Office slip?

I am in a similar situation. I was offered the job but was later declined in a top 5 fortune company because of this scenario. My 6-yr H1 ends on Sep 2007 and I have a 3-yr extension based on approved I-140 with current employer till Sep 2010. The company attorney that initially offered me the job reasoned that this is a grey area and they are not willing to take the risk. So, bottomline is different immigration lawyers have different opinion on this matter. It is a case of how you read the grey print.
Can someone point me to any document under AC21 that clearly states this is allowed. If possible, i will try to convince them, but i don't have anything to validate my point at this moment.

I only meant some provisions(relating to 7% country quota). This is already discussed by Gravitation in this forum. Sorry for the confusion. AC21 is congressionally mandated. USCIS can only interpret it and come up with an implementation as per the law. They cannot deviate much.

Guys, this is another great reason of why to change your mind and ATTEND THE RALLY! Let's force CNN to put us on their screens and laugh in Lou Dobbs' face! We can at least reply to his lies in a forceful yet peaceful and educated way (something he isn't!)
One thing I don't understand is how come this guy used the words bastard, communist china(all the time),cheap labor for computer programmers and he is so full of himself. Why does he have problem if US borrows flights from russia to transport vehicle?

This is simply called pure selfishness.
The problem he is talking about is not a widespread one and never heard of, other than may be for one or two people in this forum (one may be nk2006; sorry that it happened to you).
Even if it had happened to one or two exceptional cases, it can be rectified as it is a simple error from the part of USCIS. This is not a major thing to waste IV resources. This is not a serious immigration issue.
The way nk2006 misused IV resources for such a simple personal issue is unpardonable .
Knowing that there are such people among 'highly educated' is disheartening.

Just wanted to know at which Service Center you filed? Did you get the reciept notices.
My attorney says he will tell my reciept number as soon as he has it.

You are right. I just confirmed also with ICICI(my bank) and they do not send 1099. Damn.
So what should I do now. Do I report the interest income from prior years (its very small.... less than $200/year) and file TD F 90-22.1 form this year.

if yes, make sure to act fast, coz we have seens people's i-485 get denied when the underlying i-140 is denied.

Can someone please clarify with AC21 can I take up a job Position as "IT PROJECT MANAGER 11-3021.00" whereas my EB3 Labor is filed as "Computer Programmers - 15-1021.00" ?
My I-485 is still pending past 180 days and I-140 is approved.

You can take any job as long as the duties of the new job falls under the
Job Code 15-1021.00. which is your original approved labor job code.
Any thing other than that is a straight NO.
ALSO PLEASE UPDATE YOUR PROFILE

I feel your lawyer is definitely correct. If you send I485, EAD and AP forms together, you don't need to worry about A#. Whereas if you file I485 only and then apply EAD and AP later, you definitely need A#(which you can find in I485 receipt notice) to fill in the EAD and AP forms. What # would you give in these forms for A#?

I think it has to be either you or your lawyer. No third party should get any communication from USCIS. So I guess you'll get it - if at all they send it back.

Sorry to go on about my birds, but this I wanted to share...
I was out to get some training photographing flying birds when I suddenly saw this seagull that had a wooden stick poking out from the neck. I decided to turn photo journalist for a while and concentrate on pictures of this unlucky bird. I don't know what could have happened to it, either it has accidentally flown into something or God forbid someone has shot an arrow at it. :(
I have already found out that photographing flying birds is difficult, but try photographing a specific bird in a big flock - that's taking the difficulty to another level! :) I managed to get a few inflight pictures as well though. Unfortunately it was of course not too difficult to spot with the wooden pointer attached.
This is what I first saw, the bird flying past me a couple of times:

He was clearly irritated, kept scratching around the head and shaking to get rid of the stick:

This bird seemed quite dominant, kept chasing off other birds, so it wasn't too hindering:

Has anyone claimed unemployment benefits in EAD in TX state after being laid off? Can you please tell whats the procedure. I do not want to get into the debate of whether UB can be claimed while in AOS state? I just need to know the procedure. Thanks.
