Hello all,
I need clarifications on how to answer certain questions in the I-134 form. Can someone here please help?

Do I enter the date I first landed in the US, or the most recent landing?

3. Name of spouse and children accompanying or following to join person:
I am sponsoring my mother and father. Do I name them here? Or should I have separate I-134 forms for each parent and leave "Name of spouse" above blank?

Should I enter my company's business type in the first blank and name of the company in the second blank?____________________________________________ _____________________
8. The following persons are dependent on me for support:
My wife and I file our tax as married/joint, and we do not claim each other as dependents. Should I leave the above item blank? Do I leave this blank?

I had sponsored my wife's H4 when she came to the US 2 years ago. I'm not sure if I did I-134. Do generally people file this during H4 sponsorship?

I am in the same boat as you. My EAD expires on Sept 12th. Still no response from NSC center. I have few friends that I know, who filed after I did and they all have recieved their EADs. Not sure whats going on.
I would suggest you call uscis and place a request to expedite or call the congressman in your area to help expedite. I did place an expedite request and fortunately within 5 days from placing the expedite request my status changed from initial review to CPO

I applied for OCI for my daughter some months ago and got approved
and got her OCI stamp and cards. Couple days ago a friend of me got
rejected. He was told that "if both parents are indian citizen child is not
eligible for OCI"
After I heard it, I talked to Indian Consulate SFO, and they told that
this condition is included recently. So whoever got OCI are good. ( I hope so!)
OCI is definitley better since you dont have to do anything after you get that. OCI does not need to goto police station and report in india etc etc.

I have similar situation, got all my Receipts and got FP appointment. My H1 expired in 1st week of September. I would like to have H1 extended but, my employer and lawyer are saying "it is not possible now, and you will get your EAD dont worry".

What I am asking is "what does processing date mean"?
Does it mean that they have started working on my application?
or that the cases on that date have been finalised either by way of approval OR denial ?

No point worrying over past. Go ahed and file a AR11 ASAP to make sure from now on USCIS has your updated address. In case in future this becomes an issue then contact a lawyer and try to resolve it.
But moving forward all non immigrants as well as GC holders should make sure they do not miss this important obligation to inform USCIS within 10 days of move. It is easy process and saves lots of trouble later on.

I am contacting them and will march with them. If undocumented get a bill, our bill will come automatically. We should be supporting them. If we support them they will also support us. With their support we can get our bill. If we try to do a rally for ourselves the so called educated people on H1B and EAD will not come. They will rather spend time driving in their nice car to Disney or eat out in a fancy restaurant. So I believe we need to side with undocumented and help them to help ourselves.

Actually FP has nothing to do whatsoever with Name Check or when it is initiated. Name Check is a separate process that usually starts within a couple of weeks after you Notice Date. You can check when it is initiated with an Infopass or by talking to a service center IIO on the phone.

I am not sure what it is misdemeanor or felony. I received an arrest warrant mail to report to police station I went and I was fingerprinted/photographed. I was asked to pay the traffic court fine and that is it.

My understanding is the same as Glus and Raj. However, I am also afraid that GCHope2011 might be right, in which case I might stay illegally more than 180 days if I wait long enough and would have to wait 3 years to get back to the U.S.
I was holding H4 visa before I started using the EAD.
Relinking the 485 with my approved NIW 140 is probably not going to work as my priority date for that is Feb,2008 and it is not current yet.
I definitely want to speak with an attorney so Gus I will PM you.
I certainly hope that my interpretation is wrong and that you are not in violation.

How about two differrent dates for getting the visa stampped? Husband will go on one date and wife on another date, will this work? And they have kid born in INDIA. Any chance !!

The calculations have a huge margin or error there because it is based on 2 wrongs. USCIS data is not fully accurate and tracker data is small. 2 wrongs do not make a right. It is better to trust information directly from people talking to Department of State and USCIS. Lawyers know better as they do this everyday for many years.
Interesting so you're willing to acccept information from your lawyer who you think gets his information from USCIS but not willing to trust USCIS's information which we use here that USCIS makes itself available freely now. Hmm, not saying don't trust your lawyer but you would be surprised how inefficient some of the lawyers can be. Ironically, if a stand alone Dream act without any visa recapture does not pass, our chances of getting a visa recapture added to a bill in 2011 are much greater. The reason is, AILA may start lobbying for our cause, so that they can generate revenues on the 485 filing fees. Most lawyers charge fees for permanent residency application piecemeal. 2K for perm, 1K for 140 (more if premium) etc etc. So we still have some lobbying power with them, considering the fact that they stand to gain atleast $1000 from each family.
The main consideration for lobbying is ofcourse, is there more fees to be charged by our filing for 485, or by keeping us on H1-B. You have to remember, us losing our H1-B status is like them killing a golden goose. No more H1B renewal payout every 3 years

B-1 is a visitor's visa with no immigration intent. H1-B is dual intent. This needs to be figured out on a case-ta-case basis by an experienced attorney.
