Are you sewer we're supposed to sleep in here? The converted drains offer a comfy bed and and sleeping bags
It's more flush than flash but hotel guests looking for accommodation with a certain subterranean chic may find the Park Hotel in Austria is just their drop.
Rooms at the hotel in Ottenheim, west of the city of Linz, are made from 'robust and refurbished' drain pipes.
Inside the ample cylinders, guests will find a double bed, light, storage space and sleeping bags.
A porthole-style window lets light in. The toilet facilities are in nearby existing public facilities, which all the guests share.
There is one distinct upside to spending the night in a concrete case though...the owners operate the hotel on a 'pay as you wish' scheme.
The rooms are 'surprisingly cosy with a nice snug bed', said one guest
Guests are simply asked to donate as much money as they think sleeping in the pipes is worth.
Feedback from guests so far has largely been positive with one saying the rooms were 'surprisingly cosy with a nice snug bed and good storage'.
A Park Hotel spokesman said: 'We think people like the idea of something new. We try to keep things as private as possible.
'Guests book online and are given a pin that opens the room door but only on the day they've booked.'
