Wizard!: The Florida theme park has its own Hogwarts Castle
English muggles have been sent into a frenzy with reports that a Harry Potter attraction could open in London in the near future.
Ron Weasley himself - or at least actor Rupert Grint - apparently let slip to fans that there are plans to turn the studios where the films were shot, into a theme park.
Leavesden Studio in Watford, North London, was used to film all eight of the Harry Potter films, of which two are yet to be released.
Grint apparently told fans of the idea at a meet-and-greet session in London, according to Travel Trade Gazette.
He said Potter fans would be able to tour the sets and even read notes from the cast on the walls.
British Harry Potter fans have long campaigned for an attraction on UK soil, especially after The Wizarding World of Harry Potter opened at Universal Studios in Florida this June.
The American theme park features Hogwarts Castle as well as the village of Hogsmeade, where visitors can indulge in a Butterbeer at the Three Broomsticks before calling into Honeydukes for some Every Flavour Beans.
Leavesden Studio was once an airport and engine factory, but its hangars were used to film many Harry Potter scenes.
Although most of the sets were kept under wraps, during filming London Taxi Tours used to drive by the studios so tourists could catch a glimpse of Privet Drive and Hagrid's cabin outside.
Harry Potter fansite snitchseeker.com seems to confirm the news of a Harry Potter attraction opening at the studios, describing it as a museum featuring props and sets which could be open as soon as 2012.
When TravelMail contacted Leavesden Studio, nobody was immediately available to comment.
