Tim Shirver, CEO of the special olympics, was on the colbert report trying get people to stop saying retard. Good luck buddy. This is the same thing with the word gay in a sense, it was a normal word back in the day and then people use it in a derogatory way and we need to create a new term for it. The same thing obviously happened with words like negro and colored which have no place in most peoples general vocabularies. Why you may ask, well black people are more intimidating than people who like to stick dicks in asses and people who have harder time doing stuff who happen to have superhuman strength, see that wasnt so hard.
Same thing happened with the word Slut. It used to be all women were reffered to as sluts prior to the 1930s. It was all like,
"I met the slut I'm going to marry today Pop"
-"Well bring that slut by the house today son. Me and your mother are dying to meet her, if she is half the slut you say she is, I know we will be thrilled to have her in the family"
Enter Slut - "Well my son didnt tell me you were a model? Tell me, where did he meet a slut like you?
-" oh you are too kind Mr Smith, im no model, im just a lil ole country slut trying to make her way. Anyway, I was just at the five and dime with all the other sluts, and Peter came right up to me and told me I was prettiest darn slut he had ever seen"
-"Ha! great story, Classic tale of boy meets slut"
-"Well please come in, Im Peter's mother, nice to meet you. Peter's sisters are dying to meet you as well. Hey Sluts! come in here and meet Peters new slut friend"
Well you get the idea. Then Womans Suffrage came along and dudes were all like "these fucking sluts want to vote" and saying it all angry like. So people thought the world "slut" as the root of all the hatred and now its no longer an appropriate word. Now that my friend is history lesson you wont read in any book.
