Is that a double chin? Cheryl Cole was looking noticeably fuller-faced at the Prince's Trust Awards last week
With a fuller figure on display, it seems that Cheryl Cole is finally back to health months after beating the potentially lethal disease malaria.
The 27-year-old star, who is poised to join Simon Cowell on the American X Factor within weeks, flaunted her size 8 figure as she turned up to The Prince’ s Trust Celebrate Success Awards in London last week.
The petite brunette looked fit and well in a floor-length peach-coloured Sass & Bide gown as she joined Prince Charles at the event, a marked difference from her tiny figure last year.
The singer has been in Los Angeles recording new music for the past month – and insisted that she had not been sucked in by any of the latest fitness fads in Hollywood.
In refreshingly honest comments, Mrs Cole told Glamour magazine: ‘I don’t have a regime that I regularly stick to. I honestly don’t have one.
‘But the TV out here is non-stop with adverts for the latest health craze.
'People give themselves too much of a hard time with stuff like that – just do it if you want to.’

The star told how she is now planning to cut back on her work in a bid to look after herself after being told by doctors that she could die from her bout of malaria last summer.
She added: ‘I really plan to not plan. I’ve had my life mapped out for the best part of 10 years, so for now I just want to enjoy myself and live in the moment.’
Mrs Cole is now waiting to see if she will join Cowell, 51, on X Factor USA, and is a favourite to join him on the talent show, alongside music executive LA Reid and Paula Abdul, with chart sensation Nicki Minaj also in the frame for a judging role.
In the interview with Glamour, she also delivered a defiant retort to the American TV executives who hinted that she should lose her regional brogue, and even suggested elocution lessons, if she wanted a job as a judge on The X Factor USA.
Producers have expressed their concern that viewers would struggle to understand her Geordie accent on the show, which is due to be screened this autumn.
She said: 'My accent's going nowhere. Absolutely nowhere.
Svengali Simon Cowell has said he wants her on board but show executives have expressed concerns that the singer does not have a high enough profile in the U.S - and there has also been some anguish about whether viewers will understand her accent.
